この法律"Hidden Figures Congressional Gold Medal Act"の"Hidden Figures"は邦題が「ドリーム」と訳された映画にもなったノンフィクションのタイトル。気の利いた法律の名前です。
このノンフィクションで描かれた、NASAで活躍した黒人女性の計算係（コンピュータ）たちが、当時の貢献に対して勲章を授与されたということです。南北戦争の英雄だった黒人女性が紙幣の肖像になったり、少しずつ活躍した黒人女性たちの名誉に光が当てられていますね。法律の内容の一部は以下の通り。
